Growing Together • New Staff Perspectives

“I joined right before the big move and it’s been a blessing to see what God has done since then! And, of course, I am honored I was called here for such a time as this.”

Not only did the Growing Together season represent a time of growth for our congregation, but also for our staff. In the years since our Season of Discernment began, new staff members have joined our family, experiencing Growing Together in the middle or even end of the process. We want to share with you some of their Growing Together stories and their perspective on this season.

Cheynna’s Story

A few years ago, a friend told me of a pastor and a church who loved a homeless man so dearly that they claimed him as their own, and loved him to the end of his life. After hearing this story, I remember feeling the overwhelming love of God for the first time and clearly seeing exactly what Jesus came here to do. I re-committed my life to Jesus when I went home that night. Fast forward, and I’ve found myself in a new job working alongside the pastor, staff, and church who cared for that homeless man so many years ago. I joined right before the big move and it’s been a blessing to see what God has done since then! And, of course, I am so honored I was called here for such a time as this.

Mickayla’s Story

Three years ago I hadn’t ever heard of Colorado Community Church. I was in school and working full time, knowing that the Lord had called me into youth ministry. Fast forward to February 2020 when I saw an application online. I went to investigate the church to see they had just moved into a beautiful new building. One with dedicated children and youth spaces and a gym! I have always believed that where you invest your money is where your values are. This church values the next generation. Our young people aren’t seen as something to keep distracted, but individuals who are worth investing in. This led me to applying to work here and I am so glad that I have gotten to be a part of the investment in this community and the future of this community.
