On Thursday, June 14, 2018 Colorado Community and members of Aurora’s Planning Department held a “Neighborhood Meeting” regarding our request to re-zone the 7+ acres of land owned by Xcel Energy Corporation at 18000 E. Jewell Avenue (just north across the street from the former Gander Mountain facility). This re-zone request is necessary to enable Colorado Community to build a parking lot on that land to service the parking needs of our new facility and Xcel has agreed to allow us to do this (re-zone and build a parking lot)!
One couple attended to share their concerns and ask some great questions. Their town home backs up to this land. Overall it was a positive meeting and we believe the couple felt heard. Nothing from this meeting brought concern about moving forward. Thanks for praying for this time!
